Held 22-24 September at the Westin Palace, EuroCatalyst 2002: Live from Madrid, EuroCatalyst’s inaugural event, drew 279 attendees and covered such topics as the convergence of funding, bringing together structured finance and covered bonds as a funding tool for markets in Europe.
The event kicked off with a special welcome reception at the Museum Thyssen-Bornemisza sponsored by the Confederación Española de Cajas de Ahorros (Spanish Savings Banks Confederation).
Notable speakers in the first year included Esther Dyson and Tamara Adler.
