Peter Carroll

Peter Carroll is EVP, Mortgage Policy and Counterparty Relations at Quicken Loans where he provides expertise on policy issues including changes in the asset sales environment, housing reform legislation, and regulatory changes in the origination, servicing and secondary markets. Prior to Quicken, Pete held a similar role as SVP of Capital Markets at Wells Fargo & Co. Prior to Wells Fargo, Peter was Assistant Director of the Office of Mortgage Markets at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). At the Bureau, Pete lead a team responsible for monitoring and analyzing markets for mortgage related products and services as well as assessing the impacts of mortgage rulemaking on providers, consumers, and other stakeholders. Pete provided market insight and leadership throughout the development of the CFPB’s Dodd-Frank Title XIV rulemakings. Prior to joining the CFPB, Pete was Co-Founder of Overture Technologies, a provider of credit risk management services and technologies. Pete has also worked for the management consulting firms Price Waterhouse, LLP and KPMG Peat Marwick, LLP.
